I just hope the OS doesn't begin to clutter up like OSX began to do after a couple years.
The iPad is the future, no doubt. A little more capability, speed, and memory, and it's excellent as a home computer.

iPads will be as great and as useful as this commercial makes them seem, when they get more features and usablity to being it closer to a desktop OS(no apple fanboys, I do not want it to BE a desktop OS)

I should hope that this update will allay any of the concerns and fears that some panic-stricken people have had lately.

Whoever spends their time looking at adverts is a lost cause and has no life. Seriously I think this is the most ridiculous thing apple has come up with.
no no i think you will find buying an iPad 2 for over 600 and having to wait over a month for it to be delivered is top of the list!

Well, I've only gotten 8 songs from iTMS Norway, so far, and I doubt I'll get many more... I get all my music from the local library...
So, considering that I couldn't care less if iTMS was closed.
On the other hand, I could think of a number of things, that will affect my and most Norwegians far more than DRM'ed music, that the Consumer Council should be concern about before starting to poke into iTMS and MSN Music (or whatever that is called). Though I support their effort to prevent Apple (or any other) to change the terms after the sale is made, that Apple tries to reserve the right to do in the EULA. For that Apple might get a big fat slap...

Not only is iTMS down... I just tried to get into my local Apple Store... and it was locked. Just has 'It's Showtime' in the window. Strange.

Well, the Prius carries about a $5000 price premium compared with a comprable Toyota or Honda. But it sells for $24k without as big a tax credit (if any). So I'd have to say that the Prius Premium isn't close to that of the Volt. Plus, you can fit three car seats in a Prius. The Volt is a four-seater.
His point was what was the price of the Prius when it first came to the market? It wasn't at $24K, it was most likely higher. The Volt carries a lot of new technology like the Prius did when it came out. Also like the Prius, it will have a high price tag initially. The battery pack is said to cost $10,000 alone( and GM is still taking a loss on the vehicle).
Yes the Prius is now more affordable to the mainstream buyers, but when it came out it wasn't and it did carry tax credits( the Prius no longer qualifies).

thx god not every one has this attitude ... people were bitching about paying extra for tethering here and NO ONE even argued "but its in the contract BS" and boom, few months later it got changed. just bc something is in a obvs greedy network contract doesnt mean it shouldnt be changed or makes it right.
this "i won't complain cuz i as one can't do anything about it anyway" approach makes me sick
But by not signing you ARE doing something about it: Hitting the provider's bottom line and that, possibly more than anything else, will lead them to make changes.

I had suggested to one of your moderators that MR should disable the tagging feature in the PRSI. I think you should disable this up/down voting thing as well.

I think everybody should be able to see how many positives and negatives specific posters have given. e.g. I gave a few +1s today and no -1s so somewhere on my profile or under my username it should say 3 +1s given, 0 -1s given or something like that.

gamers that want to switch to mac but wont because of intel, which is stupid. AMD fanboys hate intel also(there is a signifigant amount of these people). They still haven't realised that intel has taken the lead again.
I am an AMD fanboy who thinks intel makes great chips, so not every amd fanboy hates intel. Just look at my sig.

Finally, a Verizon commercial that I like!
+1
Clever on their part. Perhaps AT&T will get a clue, or perhaps Verizon is just asking to get the iPhone handed to them. ;)

Looks good to me. My 3GS is still a workhorse (although the home button is getting mushy), but the one thing I want out of my next iPhone is a larger screen. I think 4" is overkill, especially if they have to make the phone itself much bigger. I've been hoping for a 3.7" screen for a while, so I hope these rumors are true.

i totally agree with you. "aint that just cool?" "probably the best photo management program in the world".
Those are not smug, those are facts!

It has a lot of standard features, and seems to be more on the premium targeted market vs. regular sedans.
Did the Preius start out on the expensive side as well?

Why would Apple logically develop a piece of software that uses the graphics card when I have four processors - many others have two - begging to be worked. I guess I never understood the logic of using Core Image to power this thing.
... because CoreImage allows problems to be described in a way that scales not only across GPU pixel pipeliness, but also across CPUs? This is good bleeding-edge design that will take some time to tweak and tune, but sets the stage for amazing gains over time.
Apple has done their homework on this one - every future release of OS X will do a better job of balancing resources to make Aperture scream.

Yeah you should. You could have gotten it cheaper from Macconnection. No tax, free shipping, free carrying case, free mouse and $100 off. Hmmm
Ohh free junk! I only assume that based upon the free stuff I received when I purchased form them in the past. I have also dealt with that company before, and never again! BTW, their price is not immediate, their discount is in the form of a rebate.
Tax? Not really an issue for me, I am registered under a non profit org (have been for 3 years now), so because of this I am able to write it off. I just didn't have my paperwork with for me to get the Macbook Tax free today, so I get a $62 rebate from the government in a couple months. ;) .
So in the end, I saved a $1 over the option you brought up, got it today, and I don't have useless junk to deal with on top of it :) .
Also free Parallels!

That is the only thing that interests me from their offer!
